Toronto Taste 2016 raises $850,000 for Second Harvest

This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend Toronto Taste, a charity event for Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue charity. Presented by The Daniels Corporation, Taste Toronto has been a legendary culinary fundraiser for 26 years, and even got recognition from the CN Tower! The tower lit up in green in recognition of this culinary fundraiser - how cool is that?

Did you know 1 in 8 Canadian families struggle to put food on their table? Each dollar spent at Toronto Taste feeds 2 people in need. The event was a huge success and raised over $850,000 for Second Harvest, allowing them to provide 1.7 million meals for those in need. I'm so happy I was able to take part of such an amazing culinary event while doing it for a good cause as well. Check out secondharvest.ca to see how you can help and for more details!

With over 90 different restaurants and beverage stands at this gorgeous lakeside venue, the hardest part is deciding what to eat first. Scroll through my photos below for a glimpse of an amazing event that you should attend next year. You can see the details to the photos by hovering over the picture itself.

What a fantastic evening! Besides all this delicious food to taste & drinks to sip on, I also got to meet the genius minds behind some of the best restaurants in Toronto.

Thank you to Second Harvest for having me be a part of this amazing event. Until next year, everybody!
