The 16th Annual Cuisine & Cuvée happened earlier this month at the Evergreen Brick Works. Earning a reputation of being one of Toronto's best culinary parties, I'd have to say they lived up to that expectation. With 30 different stations of gourmet food and beverages, how can you not enjoy it?!

Cuisine & Cuvée 2016

4 Things To Do in Iceland (Winter Edition)
It's been crazy hot and humid in Toronto recently. Are you planning your next winter vacation yet, like I am? It may sound crazy to travel to somewhere colder during the winter months, and I thought the same thing, until I went to Iceland. I would go back in a heartbeat. Listed below are four things that you'll be able to see and do if you travel to Iceland in the winter (my fave four, to be exact).

Celebrate International Yoga Day with InterContinental Hotels
The only 'om' I know is om...nomnomnom.
(Ha, get it?)
I'm not a morning person, by any means. But when I was invited to take part in celebrating International Yoga Day at the InterContinental® Toronto Centre (@ICTorontoCentre) with the Yoga Network of Canada, I decided why not? So I got my bum out of bed this morning by using #1 from my 5 Effective Ways to go to the Gym in the Morning.

Urban Whisky Trail with Toronto Food Tours
A little earlier this month, I got the opportunity to go an Urban Whisky Trail led by Toronto Food Tours (@foodtoursTO). For those whisky lovers, this is for you. It is exactly what you think it is. You walk around Toronto bar-hopping and drinking whisky. I had such a fun experience wandering around downtown with the two hosts, John Anderson and Chef Scott Savoie. Let's start drinkin'!

Toronto Taste 2016 raises $850,000 for Second Harvest
This past Sunday, I had the opportunity to attend Toronto Taste, a charity event for Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food rescue charity. Presented by The Daniels Corporation, Taste Toronto has been a legendary culinary fundraiser for 26 years, and even got recognition from the CN Tower! The tower lit up in green in recognition of this culinary fundraiser - how cool is that?
Did you know 1 in 8 Canadian families struggle to put food on their table? Each dollar spent at Toronto Taste feeds 2 people in need. The event was a huge success and raised over $850,000 for Second Harvest, allowing them to provide 1.7 million meals for those in need. I'm so happy I was able to take part of such an amazing culinary event while doing it for a good cause as well. Check out secondharvest.ca to see how you can help and for more details!

100 Oysters for $100 at Pearl Diver
Throughout the year, a number of restaurants around Toronto host “buck-a-shuck” oyster nights. However, there's only one restaurant you can count on to throw this eating challenge every Thursday for its customers. The deal? Oysters are only $1 each, but only when ordered in increments of 100.
Challenge accepted.
