When finding places to eat when I travel, I always try to find spots that serve delicious food (lol obviously) and great views. I mean, you have to be efficient! Who doesn’t want to be able to “sightsee” while they eat? CODA, the restaurant located at the Aria Hotel in Prague, met that exact criteria. Located in the heart of old Praha, CODA is the perfect restaurant to go to after a morning of exploring Prague Castle. Besides having a beautiful dining room in the hotel, which can be used for private events, they have a rooftop terrace that I would highly recommend you to sit at. It gives you a stunning view of the city.
We started with a couple seared scallops and the fresh tuna sashimi square. The scallops were plated beautifully and came with fresh fennel, orange, lime, and ripe papaya. The tuna sashimi came on a bed of avocado, datterino tomato, lemon, and red onion. Both dishes were refreshing for the hot, summer day – and of course, a glass of prosecco never hurt anyone hehe.
For our mains, I decided to continue with the seafood trend of the meal and ordered the grilled octopus. It came with squid ink linguini, a light garlic foam, and tomatoes. The octopus was so tender and basically melted in my mouth – sooo good! V went with the restaurant-recommended dish, the quail supreme. It came with a side of san daniele ham, young carrots, salsify, and sauce of Marsala. All I could hear from her side of the table was, 'omg...' and the next thing I knew, her plate was empty. One can only assume her meal was delish!
What a fabulous meal to enjoy in the middle of our busy day of exploring! CODA was the perfect place to stop by for lunch, especially due to its location. Stay tuned for my Prague travel guide that will show you exactly how to organize one day of your visit!
