Colette Grand Café

Brunch is my favourite part of the weekends, aside from sleeping in.
But when brunch looks like THIS? I'm more than happy to forego my beauty sleep.

Located on the ground floor of the Thompson Hotel in downtown Toronto, the café features a classy dining area, a bakery café, an outdoor terrace, and an exquisite bar. It caters to anyone in the city looking for an escape.

The beautifully designed interior, big windows, and high ceilings let in an abundance of sunlight. Walking into this eatery is second only to actually being in France. Take the time to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, delicious bites, and coffee drinks at this classy café — you won't regret it.

After walking through in awe, I got to our table and was ready to eat.

We started off with coffee, of course (an americano for me). After chatting for a while, we ordered our food and then patiently waited for our food to come.

Here is the Challah French Toast with a spiced apple compote. There is also an option of having foie gras on the side.

If you know me, or read enough of my brunch posts, it will come to you with no surprise that I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs benny at Colette comes with smoked salmon and avocado on a croissant.

Just another angle of how delicious this sounds/looks!

And of course, a yolk porn shot - can't not have one of these shots! Mmm..

And this gorgeous plate of food was the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes topped with blueberries and chantilly.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time at Colette. The only thing I was not too happy about was that we were kicked out even though there were other tables free. Other than that, I had no complains with the food, and everyone I dined with also loved their dishes. I didn't get a chance to try their dishes though and will definitely come back to do so.

If you're into seafood and buffets, Colette also does a Sunday brunch buffet, where you are able to eat anything and everything for $65 (I believe) including a wide range of fresh seafood. If you're just looking for a quick bite, Colette also (what do they not have?!) has a bakery on the side that sells pastries and coffee to go.

Although it is located a bit west from the core downtown, this is a great spot for brunch with your girlfriends. Especially when the weather is nice because Colette has a beautiful patio that looks out to the CN Tower! It's ideal for photos especially since the interior is gorgeous :)
