Honestly, with a spread like this, how could you NOT visit The Courage? The Courage Bar was recommended to me by a couple other travel bloggers as one of the best new spots in town. As this was our first meal in PEC, I was very excited to see how recommendations matched up to the real thing. Located in Wellington, I found the location to be perfect as it was in-between the main areas that we were going to be visiting.
And walking in, I marveled at the decor and ordered the above spread just to be amazed by how good the food was as well. The King Louie Club was a sandwich with chicken, double smoked bacon, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, and chipotle mayo on multigrain bread. You can get a side of fries, salad, or soup. We opted for the salad, since we had planned to order a separate order of fries. This sandwich was so delish - just the perfect BLT. I decided to go with The Farmers Daughter, which was a bowl of literal healthy goodness. Not limited to slices of sweet potatoes, beets, and yummy hummus, it came on top of a bowl of quinoa - so good! We also got the grilled cheese sandwich, which came with a side of fries, salad or soup as well - except, we didn't realize that. We actually ordered another side of their fries haha aka we ended up having one too many fries (not complaining though). Also - they brew coffee roasted by Sam James! Anyways, overall our first meal in PEC was great and I highly recommend visiting The Courage Bar during your stay. You can go in for a cup of coffee, or you can go in for a meal. I saw people do both! The Courage Bar has actually only been open for a couple months, so check them out & support this new local business!
