Event: Eat To The Beat 2015

On October 27th, I got the chance to attend Eat To The Beat with a fellow foodie, @xiaoeats. With 60 stations of food and 20 stations of beverages, it was something I was glad I did not miss!

Celebrating its 20th year, Eat to the Beat is a mecca for urban foodies who come to experience the best Ontario’s culinary scene has to offer. It is the only event in Canada that exclusively features the talent of 60 female chefs – women supporting women through the challenges that come with a breast cancer diagnosis.

Here is a picture diary of 'most' of the food we had... I couldn't keep track of it after a while because my hands were full of food hehe.

Chef Nuit Regular and her creation:

Wrapped in a betel leaf held together with a Thai chili was a lovely combination of chilled black tiger shrimp, ginger, garlic, shallot, lime, coconut, peanut, coconut sugar and tamarind sauce

Mildred's Temple Kitchen's Waffle and Lox:
Smoky tea cured trout on a rye waffle, with sour cream, onion jam, compressed apple and pickled wheat berries.

From the Citizen:
King Cole smoked duck breast, savoury pumpkin pie, black walnuts, with a whisky maple glaze

From Chef Meghan Van Horne is a lemon infused meatball stuffed with chevre and drizzled with beet and saffron sauces.

From Chef Renee Bellefeuille is this delicious beer braised lamb cornish pastry.

Oh yay a wine station!

From the Drake Hotel is one of the best dishes of the night: red curried salmon poke bowl with lime compressed cucumbers, chai pickled grapes and spicy hazelnuts.

Sweet potato macaroni and cheese from Chef Joanne Lusted.

Oh yay a beer station!

This was a very fun event filled with delicious food and drinks. I'm so happy I got to be a part of this great cause to help raise money for Willow Breast & Hereditary Cancer Support. Until next year!
