JOEY Eaton Centre

Best thing to do on Fridays after work, besides passing out from an exhausting week at work, is eating food with good company. I mean, did you expect me to say anything else?

We ordered one of their entrée salads with Sashimi Tuna. As a salad, it is quite pricey at $18.50 but they are definitely portioned to be an entrée. It comes with seared rare Ahi, mango, peanuts, avocado, crispy noodles, and cilantro ginger dressing. As usual, they are quite heavy on the dressing. I was too excited when ordering to remember to ask them to be light on the dressing. It was still good though!

We also ordered the Rainbow Roll, which was a sushi roll (obviously...) with Ahi tuna, salmon, crab, avocado, sriracha aioli. I've never ordered this before, but it was SO good! Maybe because I have been craving sushi for a while now but it was actually a lot better than I had imagined.

We also ordered our classic drinks: a Coors Light for him and a girly cocktail drink for me :)

To finish off, we each got a "Sushi Cone" aka a handroll lol. It had tempura prawn, avocado, spicy mayo, and tobiko wrapped in rice paper.

Best!

Overall, it was a really good light meal to have before going to watch a movie. The service and food was good. JOEY is always a good place to stop by if you're looking for something casual and quick. Just be sure to take advantage of their 'wait list' before going on a busy day, such as a Friday. You can go online (here) and put your name down so that you can cut the line when you get there!
